good mobile phone reception/prices northern ireland?

hello there. will shortly be moving to northern irealnd and have heard some horror stories abot mobile phone reception. looking at possibly contract but not entirely sure as may be away alot. any ideas gratefully received.

sorry forgot to mention will mainly be in the lisburn/belfast area.
