Have new big TV need new amp

I have got my TV but my old Yamaha A1 surround amp is old, I need to be able to pre out the main front,s and conect my 3D blu ray directley for dts, hd, dolby dig hd, I want earth moving power I have a large room and like the air to move

Upper mid range, the Denon AVP-A1HDA and POA-A1HD combo produces a beautiful articulate sound and isn't troubled by extended low frequencies.

Other than that you've got the Denon AVC-A1HDA integrated and the Yamaha DSP-Z11

Stepping down another layer is the Denon 4810, Yam DSP-Z7

It is the speakers where things start to get expensive.

Arcam AVR600 might be worth a look, especially if you also listen to stereo as they're reported to be good with music (my older AV9,P25/3, P1000 combo is much better in stereo than my previous Denon receiver, so I tend to believe the reports). There was an ex display one on AVforums recently for around £2,500 I think (normally about £800-1000 more I think).
