Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of anyone actually putting a sequential gear box into a Cerbera?

Has it happened? Did it work? All that stuff.

Nope, not heard of one. Why bother with the hassle?

Well yes...there is that!

But that's not the point of the question. I was just wondering if anyone had ever done it? For fun an'all!

It's a boggo standard Borg-Warner T5. Though why Cerbies manage to destroy them regularly when they're rated at more power & torque I don't know. There must be lots of companies (e.g. cossie go faster) that will know about regearing them, or putting sequential changes. Still sounds like too much hassle & aggro though

No that's it! I'm sulking now! It's all your fault too!

Remind me not to talk to you next time I see you. Ideally before we start talking if possible.

It's too expensive to keep and too expensive to sell.
So I have a choice. Pay for it and leave it at Fernies. Or pay for it and use it.

Bored with leaving it at Fernies! :>

So in short...I guess so!

Mr Kernighan! Didn't think it could have been you - thought it was a bit of a coincidence - seen your car at Fernies several times. Why won't it sell?

It is I!

It will sell...if I want to sell it for £30k. I owe more than that. I don't think +£30k cars are selling at the moment. Not to say that they won't in the future.
What is a 9 month old Cerbie with all the toys worth these days do ya reckon?

I would have thought a damn sight more than £30k Warren. I sold mine in January for almost that much, and it was a 99V with 18,000 miles on the clock.

I miss that car (but the house and Caterham are much better thank you!)

If you're going to keep it and drive it, forget expensive gearbox mods I reckon - change those totally crap standard dampers for proper Nitron ones on stiffer springs - certainly the best value for money mod you can make I reckon! Joolz fitted his kit to my car (along with an adjustable stiffer front arb) in only a few hours and it's made a fantastic difference! Still running my engine in for a track day to set it up properly, but on the road it's absolutely fantastic. imho.

I was thinking of changing the front discs for the Red Rose Tuscan ones. And also doing something with the suspension, but I hadn't worked out what.

Since this is a city region gassing sub section....

My Griff is doing the same, languishing a fernies whilst I wrangle with what to do with it...

Sadly it is a bit cked having had to deal with lots of lovely london speedbumps. Needs diff, bushes, steering rack, tlc and Clutch which has decided to go at the same time....

Warren, if your car is for sale via fernies why is it not on their website?

Have you tried PH?

It is on Piston Heads...

It's not at Fernies any more, as I left it there for six whole months without it selling. So I went and got it back. May as well use it.

I must update the Piston Heads advert.

Aha I see it, very, very nice. If I sold the Griff and accidently did not have the new bathroom built I could afford that , hmmmmm I wonder how much trouble I'd be in.....
