How do I stop this?!?

Ok,
I like playing Battlefied Bad Company (no, I don't really want to stop doing this!).
BUT, often I find in face to face combat, I see someone, and as I see them I am already dead. They can be running towards me or anything, they are not shooting at me on my screen, so I press fire but am dead and they have 100% health.
So, how can they see me and open fire enough to kill me before they even appear on my screen? What do I change to make us equal? Because I get really, really p***ed when I get killed this way!

No idea, but this was why I went back to MW2, found even more clitchers and cheaters on BC2 so gave up on it.
What is your 'ping' rate like, it may be they have a faster connection.
Ah right, it was cheats and this thing in MW2 that pushed me to BF2. For months and months it has been ok and I've had a fairly reasonable chance of killing, but the last 3-4 days I've been getting creamed.......... What is your 'ping' rate like, it may be they have a faster connection.
