Are chanel watches credible within the market?

I have the opportunity to acquire a superleggera at a healthy discount but I want to ensure that my investment is as depreciation proof as possible.

What are your thoughts?

You mean the fashion brand?

wink

Valjoux 7734 movement by the look of it, though. Worth £3k? Not sure.

What sort of price can you get one for? Does anyone have any pictures of these on wrists/in real life?

I bought my wife a white J12 some years ago - can't get the thing off her wrist, despite better watches in her collection; she loves it. I would say it's predominantly jewellery and not a 'serious' watch, however if you love it, get it. I was very tempted by one a while back but was told I would look like Elton John wearing it, so didn't get it.

I'm not sure how they depreciate, you'd have to google a few and take a peek around Ebay.

That's great. Any pictures of it being worn?

I looked at buying the same Superleggera a while back - but convinced myself that it was too much of a 'fashion' brand - so bought a Rolex Ceramic GMT! Still do like the look and feel of the Chanel, and if one came up at the 'right price', I'd be seriously tempted!
