What do the experts think of this watch? Im talking about the one with the Titanium case and bracelet. I think it looks good, but haven't been able to see one in the flesh. I think its a limited edition and costs approx £5k. Should I be looking elsewhere?

I have one.

Do NOT pay anything like £5K. It's a slow seller, and they usually hang around dealers for a while. To give you some idea, I paid £3K last year and saw one for sale just a few weeks later at £2.5K. It was brand new, unworn and in the window of a registered dealer.

On to the watch; I think it's outstanding. For the money I paid, Rolex has nothing even close. GMT, titanium, date, chronograph, chronometer grade...it has everything. I even went diving in mine for the hell of it.

Best of luck.

As above, they are a slow seller. They always seem to hang around in the shops for some reason.

I have tried one and it's a wonderful piece of kit. I'd love one, I personally think that these will become valuable in the future due to the case material.

I tried one a while ago - it's very light. I liked it though, but I like a bit of heft to my watches.

That's a massive discount! List price is just over £5K. Do you have any photos, particularly the sides of the case?

I don't I'm afraid. It's at home in the watch box. Not due back there for a couple of days but I'll try to remember. Incidentally, it's currently on a NATO strap which looks great and makes it even lighter.

Yes, the discount was large but the guy was very happy to sell it. I'd ask around and see what you get. I know Selfridges have had one in stock for ages.

Still want a Solar Impulse? There's one in the window of Brufords jewellers in Eastbourne for £3350. It's on the titanium strap, and they might take an offer.
