I'm new to detailing and just spent 5 hours doing this:

+ Wash (AG shampoo) using two-bucket method
+ Rinsed (no hosepipe unfortunately, so several trips with the bucket)
+ Clayed whole car with Meguirs clay kit (using Meguirs QD for lube)
+ Rinsed
+ Dried
+ Polished whole car with AG SRP and buffed off with microfibre towel
+ Added a layer of AG EGP and left to dry while I did a few more jobs - including treating all rubber door seals and plastic trim bits with AG Vinyl and rubber car. Then cleaned all interior and exterior glass with AG Fast Glass. Also rubbed down facia and interior bits and bobs with the Vinyl & Rubber spray.
+ Buffed off the EGP and finally dressed the tyres.

This took me 5 hours with no breaks. Does this sound a reasonable amount of time or should it be taking a lot less? Not sure if I could trim some time off with better technique for instance.

At least car should be nice and clean for Cars in the Park at Harewood House tomorrow
Cheers.tongue out

Takes me about 5 hours to do mine using the products you've used but without claying the car. I would've thought just claying the car properly would take a good few hours though?

I clayed half my car at the weekend, took an hour. Paint was not bad starting off so maybe that helped.
You did ok doing all that in 5 hours, then again a clio isn't a big car.

Claying did take a while, but the car is only 3 months old, and to be honest it didn't feel or look like the clay was grabbing much dirt. The paint must have been fairly clean to start with. Anyway, here's the result of my effort!
