Glasgow meet point Sept 26th run
Discussion
Where do folks fancy meeting, the usual spot or make more sense to meet at the Coatbridge Showcase as we're headed out that way anyways.
If we meet at 8am, leave by 8.15am then that should get us over there (wherever the hell we're going) by 9am easily.
I am thinking we should meet at the Showcase and then finish off at the old meet point, which will then allow us to go for the planned beer in town after?
Let me know what you think.
Cheers,
Olie The Navigator

Regarding the beverage after I was intending ditching the car and maybe even washing before meeting somewhere convenient in the early evening....or is this in addition. I know Mr jcarrera doesn't drink except when he's posting (
)but some other weegies may be up for bevvy and banter. OlberJ said:
Aye, we can make it a proper evening drink if you wish. Only worry was that folks may be too knackered post run and not bother to come back out. Mind you, it's not exactly a dawn raid!
If we meet at Showcase there is Maccy D's there if that will suffice on the coffee front?
I can confirm that the Maccy D's coffee at the showcase is actually pretty good first thing in the morning there, even on Sundays. If we meet at Showcase there is Maccy D's there if that will suffice on the coffee front?
I'll actually be driving over from Dunoon that morning, so may arrive with huge grin if I've had some fun coming up loch fyne and over the rest and be thankful and down loch lomond early on a sunday morning.

More fun to be had along Loch Eck if you don't mind the risk of swimming if it goes wrong.Edited by 6C4GTS on Monday 13th September 10:17

Thats the first road I went down on my own after passing my test and its still one of my favourites - lots of my P600 rubber on it from when I was young and fearless (see first car thread).

Meeting at Showcase sounds fine, won't make apres-run drinks, think I'm
off to see Logan playing that night.
I'm also going to Logan gig that evening along with PHer Gary Morgan, it's only £7 a ticket if anyone fancies some proper rock music?off to see Logan playing that night.
And Barry I'll have you know I drink all the time, not just when posting....
But never when driving or late the night before a PH run kids!

There’s a lot of good gigs on the 26th. Imelda May at the ABC and Lou Hickey at Oran Mor.Not sure yet whether I’ll make the run, but I’ll be going to see Lou Hickey on the night. If I’m awake early enough in the morning, I may well pop down to see you guys off anyway.

Assuming that Si's start time is 0900 a 0815 leave from Showcase should give us enough time to nip round the other runners before 0900 and exchange some insults.
We'll be charging up on coffee and fruitshoot at McDs. Hope to see some of you weegies there.
