4 camera vans in 15km?

There are six roads across the A12 between Chemlsford (A1016) and the M25. This morning four of them had camera vans on.

Why?

Four seperate recorded offences leading to twelve points leading to bans and fine revenue. Loads of people getting banned before they have even got to work. Splendid.

The government should reign these barstewards in but will they? Like hell they will, the government set the rules up specifically because they knew it would lead to unaccountable organisations going to war against motorists.

the A11 down past snet was like that a few weeks ago - most of them were hidden as well!

Surely, if a person were to be speeding along this road past all four cameras, ie without dropping below the speed limit once, it would be the same, single offence for the whole duration.

Given that English law says that you cannot be convicted of the same offence twice, only the first fine etc would actually be valid?

English law also gives you a right to silence & "innocent until proven guilty". Ah. No. Not when it's a speeding offence.
