GP Qualifying more interesting(on TV) than the actual race?

I've not watch Grand Prix regularly since the late 80s/early 90s and whenever I do watch the races, I find them quite dull, even if they have been slightly better of late.
However, I watched the Italian GP qualifying on Saturday and found it quite interesting.
Info about the cars, good camera views (other than far too many shots of cars exiting the Parabolica), different approaches by the drivers and all drivers doing hot laps.
-The turn-in of the cars into the fast bends at Monza is extremely impressive.
Does anybody else find the qualifying better than the race? Probably not...

BBC's coverage of all aspects of the F1 GPs the past year or so has been different class to any previous media coverage. I enjoy the three practice sessions, the qualifying and the race itself even if as sometimes happens, I'm disappointed with the final result. Unlike some on this site, I enjoy Eddie Jordan's contributions, much moreso that David C's. Brundell is always worth listening too even if on those rare occasions, he has not read or seen it right or taken what seems a very long time for the penny to drop. Today .... like the bits coming off Button's wing and diffuser soon after the start. Two seperate clear "fly off" incidents following one contact. I only have my TV screen as a guide but I saw those bits fly off following the nudge from Alonso. It seemed ages for this observer before they picked up what had happened ... probably only a few seconds in reality ...however, I bet I was not the only person to see those two seperate bits flying off immediately. I believe we viewers are maybe 1, perhaps 2 seconds behind the actual action. I sometimes clearly see examples where Chandook or Brundell mention something before it actually appears on our screens. I have in mind when during qualifying, the commentary states so and so has posted the fastest time before we see that car actually cross the timing line and the new fastest time is shown on our screens. It doesn't spoil things for me but, is a tad annoying at times.
On the whole, I think the BBC's coverage is very good indeed ... with the huge bonus of no poxy commercial breaks where invariably, some key action was completely missed by the viewers.
Long may the standard now set by the BBC be allowed to continue. There are some Media Moguls who would not like to see it continue that way. We must ensure they do not get their way.... Ever!
