I need to buy a new Bosch CUX 14 ecu for my Griffith 500...

Funny its was designed by Bosch, but has a Lucas badge on it. You wont get a new one these days, but there should be plenty around from old Range Rover classic and V8 Land Rovers on ebay or the like. There are a few floating around for silly money called "reconditioned", but as nothing wears out as such I dont know how you would recondition it other than a new coat of paint for all that extra money. You need to get something post 1993 or so so it has a chip socket so you can plug the TVR fuel chip into it. Assumming its sold as working, all you need to check for is corrosion around the connector pins and its worth opening up the case to check for corrosion damage in particular if its been in a TVR footwell.

Why do you need a new one.. what happened to the old one?.....
Sometimes you can get dry joints on ECU's.... if it's this just go over it with a soldering iron..... They are usualy quite robust units?...

The sellers is claiming ''it might have a fault''...even if I could return it in case of a malfunction what I really want is to avoid any further time wasting...it's nearly a month I can't drive my Griffith already.

Im quite happy to get a Rangie ECU for £40- 60 and put a TVR chip in it for you- got to be worth at least £300!
