I noticed when changing the front discs that one of the struts was leaking, and know they should be changed in pairs...But are the shockers on the msports different from a normal 330i? I get a funny feeling they are gonna be BMW mainstealers only.

Any ideas where I could get some from?

It might be worth giving Euro Car Parts a ring and giving them your reg number and see if they list the right ones. Do a cross check with the BMW part numbers just to make sure you are getting the right spec.

I managed to get the genuine E36 328 Sport Bilsteins from there by ringing ( they used to be the Bilstein importer ) although if you used the part number locator on the website it didn't list the right ones up so I'd ring in case they have additional listings.

If you've got the S226 option you can check the part numbers on realoem.com

Must be something to do with being called Dave. Exact same scenario here!

Just looked on there web site and they only spec Bilstein for a 330 with no reference to msport. Think I'll make a call in the morning. Odd thing is one side is 3 quid cheaper than the other???

From memory its the Bilstein B6 damper you want, the originals on the car are Sachs and not cheap from BMW approx £200 ea. for the fronts.

I just changed all of mine for a JOM coilover kit (£190) and its suprisingly close to the standard ride.

Is that £190 for all four corners??? thats cheap, Eurocar parts want £75 a leg. Is it a straight swop fitting coilovers, connecting ARB's lower arms etc

The JOM kit is all four corners and are height adjustable coilovers. They are a German company, TUV approved and come with a 2 year waranty. £190 for the kit and are a straight swap for existing setup. You will also need shorter drop-links and should buy the Hyundai Coupe 2005 droplinks from ECP (£30 approx). New top mounts are also recommended (ECP - Lemforder £35approx) as a matter of course. Easy to install and they are becoming very popular on the forum E46 Zone. They will lower the car but can be adjusted to suit.

I was wary when I bought them but the price won me over and I have been very pleased with them. Similar ride to the Mtech Sport suspension I had previously and are neither too crashy nor too firm.

The only drawback is they are not made from stainless steel.

A few pics for you..

Bit of a gay question but was there any loading on your insurance? I pay them enough as it is!!

I looked on some of the other beemer forums and saw lots of people changing to them. Not sure how long they would like that shiney for?? Saw a comment about the adjusting collars seizing pretty quickly. For the money though seems a betty bargain.

Well I doubt they will stay shiney forever and as I do 1000 miles a week on them I will monitor closely for corrosion.

Does the 330i msport petrol have the same set up as the 330d msport? There is a guy breaking one on fleabay complete, so no chance of losing an eye changing springs over? should be a straight swap right....mmm
