Stolen/Recovered

Mrs Dead's car was stolen around 3 weeks ago. It was recently recovered and is said by the pound to be 'in perfect condition', they have finished the forensics on it today and we have been told that we need to collect it in the next 4 days to avoid being charged storage, which is fair enough. The car has been run on false plates so it is highly unlikely to have the original plates with it, plus the insurance co now have the V5 is there any way to collect the car and get it home bar towing or trailering?

There are a number of 'show plates' that can be bought online that dont need a V5 to get.
Will cost you about £20ish and will pass scruteny so you can get the car home. Cheaper than a trailer, tow company, etc

Thanks for the reply, as the car is in a Met Police pound will they let the car out of the gates on these plates?

I doubt they will inspect your plates for the relevant BS stamp and postcode.

contact the insurance company, explain you need it recovered within four days, they should pay for this (assuming your fully comp...)
