New correctly dated, lead thread for the run.... see further on in the thread for pre-Shrews meet ups

OK everyone, I think we're ready now. 993Targa & I have worked out a nice route for the day, a couple of interesting stops for food / petrol / loo, there's a good mix of cars on the list, now all we need is decent weather!

The route covers 4 parts on a return loop from / to Tesco Shrewsbury. The edited higlights are:
- Meet around 8-8:30am, fill cars at Tesco Extra in Shrews, fill stomach at McDonalds over the road, before heading off
- We've planned a loo break mid-morning and a re-fuel shortly after (both opportunities will allow us all to re-group)
- Around diner time, stop for lunch at a nice looking pub in North Wales
- Head for the evo Triangle, do 1.5 circuits
- Return to Tesco Shrewsbury for a last fill up / chat, then head for home

The route is ready for you to load directly onto TomTom devices as 4 ITN files. I'll not post the route on here as it's a public forum, so e-mail me directly to get a copy. If you don't have a TomTom, you can install a program called TYRE (Trace Your Route Everywhere) on your computer and view the files from there. You can then make your own pace notes or alternative nav files accordingly.

I'd recommend everyone is familiar / happy with the route beforehand, as we do have a good number of cars, so keeping together will be nigh on impossible.

There's still time for any late joiners, so feel free to put your hands up! Otherwise, we'll see you in Shrewsbury on the 26th.

The Trace Your Route Everywhere (TYRE) program can also produce itinerary files for Garmin sat nav's.

I'm looking forward to seeing how much less petrol I'll be using this time around!. You people with those V8's have not a second thought for the well being of the planet.
Mind you it's in Wales so F##k it.

We've got quite a list of motors, now all we need is the weather! 6 days to go, anyone else interested in a strop across the mountains?

Yep, looking promising so far, hopefully it'll stay that way and we'll get a full turn out, with no-one crying off over a bit of dampness wink

I'll actually be coming through kiddy aswell. Shouldn't be much traffic at that time in morning ether so would make for a nice drive to Shrewsbury.

Looking a bit less likely for me now. Having a new hood put on the MX-5 on Saturday which will probably drain any car fund I have for a while. Will have to see how I feel after I hand over the cash.

Not that I wish to jinx anything, but the forecast for the weekend seems to be getting better smile Fingers crossed it stays that way and those of us who have managed to align social diaries with other halves can have a good day!

MORNING PRE-MEETS:

In response to some of the comments on joining up before Shrewsbury, here's some options based on my route up the road.... if these places are easy for you to tag along from, pls do so:

Tesco Redditch Petrol Stn - 7am departure: (myself, 993Targa, Sone, B.J.W, TBMRS)
3 Crowns & Sugar Loaf Pub, Kiddy - 7:25 departure: (as above, plus RolandR)

If anyone wants to meet at either of these places, let me know, but pls be prompt as time is tight for getting to Shrews.
