Insurance doubled ?

Came to renew my insurance and all quotes are nearly twice last years !! Used to be with Hagerty who don't do it anymore and paid less than £190.

Any ideas who might quote some where close to last years?

I need to update my profile, I have had a few Jap cars R32, RX7, STi etc.

The R32 and the Griff are as different as can be. I liked my R32 it felt "right" when driving really well balanced but TVR's just have that intangible something that I haven't found elsewhere. That said, I had a 350bhp RX7 and that was something else - big flames every gear change. Weak engine though.

£380 for 7500miles and £250 excess. Had to jump from 5000 miles during last years insurance as I had exceeded the max mileage on the policy and it cost £57 to get an extra 2500 miles added to the policy.

Just to keep you all happy, my current premium on an S2 is just shy of £1700 with a £1500 excess (classic line) having spent 5 days on the phone.
