Had some plates made by Halfords and predictably the quality is rubbish.

Any recommendations down South?

I get mine from Fancyplates. Not the cheapest (although I know you don't mind spending a bit of you hard earned where necessary Stu ), but good quality and a wide range of choices. They supplied me with my front vinyl plate for the GTW.
