Careers Advice websites? Help needed

Are there any websites out there which can take on board your employment history and then make recommendations as to any new directions you should be heading in?

I'm beginning to feel that I'm just too old for the industry I'm in and it has now changed beyond all recognition & just isn't any fun anymore. If you've been on here of old you'll know what I do but now I feel I've reached a crossroads and need to do something which will take me away from it because at 46 I need to something quick.

I'm not asking for any advice from anyone on here regarding my career as that will just get to involved but I'm looking to put myself in contact with someone that can help on a professional basis. I've had a go with Monster but they weren't all that helpful. All the other websites I can find seem to be for graduates rather than old fogeys like me.

Any suggestions grateful received.

And yes I realise that being a pop music anorak and posting 'that' picture is no basis for a long term career.

I'd be looking for (beware hideous cliche approaching!) a personal life-coach type person. As you say, most careers advice is targeted at education-leavers rather than more experienced people, so talking to someone one-to-one about your specific situation will probably work out better than an anonymous website.

Can't recommend anyone in particular mind.

I've been through coaching with Nick and found it probably the best piece of personal development I've ever done. It's really good at helping you to identify what your motivations are, and if you're thinking about career change, it could be ideal.

Me - nowt - you, well best advice is to have a word with Nick - he can slice & dice things to suit, and fees are very much negotiable, especially for individuals, rather than large corporates, who typically pay rack rate, or close.

Even if Nick's not feasible in cost terms, he's hugely well-connected and he's free with advice. If you do speak to him mention the guy who like cars and bonefish, might help
