Fire extinguishers in a used car put me off. Your thoughts?
Discussion
I've been looking at Ferrari's around the £40K mark (355's/360's) and can't help being put off if a fire extinguisher is already installed. Were they an optional extra or something? I can't help thinking it screams out to me "Track Days!"
Am I being reasonably cautious, or just plain stupid?

Are you worried that a performance car might have actually been used as a designer intended? Am I being reasonably cautious, or just plain stupid?

I asked for that! Lol
To be fair though, I'm more worried about a car being thrashed to within an inch of its life. I'm not interested in low mileage garage queens, quite the opposite in fact, a ferrari with 40 or 50K miles on it and good history would interest me at the right price, but not if a substantial amount of those miles had been on a track......

Dont be put of with the fitment of fire extinguishers in Ferraris, especially the 355s. Ferraris on a whole can have the problem of setting themselves on fire. Its something all ferrari owners have in the back of there minds, as well as there cambelts. Do a google search and you will be amazed.
So thats the rundown, its nothing to do with track days on the whole its a ferrari thing
As i have quite often said. When one wants to buy a ferrari, one looks for a car that has never been tracked, thrashed or repained. Then once its been bought, one then tracks it, thrashes it and repaints it.
When one decides to sell it, one then proclaims its never been tracked, thrashed or repainted. Welcome to the world of Ferrari ownership
