The car only produces water vapour so in terms of reducing localised pollution associated with cars, it's a plus.

When car companies give the emissions data on their models do they include all the emissions associated with the production and transport of the fuel to the station? No.

I thought the guy from greenpeace or where ever he was from, was quick to get the boot in on production of hydrogen, transport, and lifetime/manufacturing/recycling of the entire car.

I think he was just pissed off that someone was coming up with a solution that wasn't destroy all cars.

Exactly, if they want to claim that carbon dioxide is a pollutant they have to regard water vapour as pollution as well. Both are harmless greenhouse gases.

Roger that, I apologise, I thought you were meaning the production of hydrogen.

ETA although water to water is still a net increase of zero.
