I got home at 2am this morning after a brilliant long weekend at The Ring.

I bought 16 laps thinking i could buy some more later. Unfortunately i only got through 10 due to track closure, motorbikes crashing and rain. I'm still a little scarry cat to go out in the wet.

Now the track itself. It seems so deceptive at times. I approached a few bends thinking 'i know this one' only to find that this is not 'this one' but the one before! That nearly caught me out pretty hard as i thought the bend was a quick bend but it turned out not.

I took a couple of friends for a pax lap with me just for some feedback really and with the exception of a few tight turns my lines where generally in the right place. I have a big issue with cars behind me though! As soon as i see someone remotely in my mirror i automatically slow down and indicate to the right. Even if the car is going the same pace as me.

I also managed to get in the main carousel. Never again though, i hated it. I was not in control of the car at all, my foot was planted to the floor and it just launched me out of the other side of the track when it came to an end.

Overall i can't wait to go again. In total including last years visit i have driven 15 laps. Approx 13 of them have been fast too.

Well thanks for reading peeps....

Yes that was me/us. I was thinking why your wife had such good English... lol

Say thanks to her for her hospitality (food was great too, plus i was given a lollipop).

I kept my foot to the floor through the Karussell. It was so bumpy and scary i was using the steering wheel as a handle rather than a control...lol I stayed out of it for the rest of the day though...

Ha, so you were the one with the portion of chips and a lollipop because in the kitchen they thought only a kid would order a portion of chips laugh

We're both English, but moved out here 13 years ago.

Thats right, i'm a bit of a fattie. I could not have fish (although very nice Salmon) without chips. That would be wrong....lol

Well done for getting out of UK though. I kind of miss parking the car and leaving sat nav, stereo on show without fear of anything going missing or vandalised.
