Used car warranty

Apologies as i am sure this has been discussed many times before but as the search facility is not working I cannot find anything! Just bought a second hand audi a6 which I intend to keep for a while and thought it might be worth getting a warranty, but is it? I have had quotes from the AA and UVW. The latter does not seem expensive at £195 a year. Is it just a waste of money or a worthwhile thing to get? Any help much appreciated.

how much did your car cost?

Personally, I wouldn't bother.

If anything does go chances are it'll be stuff that isn't covered on the warranty - 'wear and tear items'

Obviously took everybodys advice on here by staying away from a dealer and buying it privately.

i'm guessing this is the Mini Cooper in your garage, or have you got something new?

personally i would save that money and use it for repairs. just get the car services when it should and as long as you did enough checks when you bought it, it should be fine.

warrantywise is good. i use them.

Audi S3 sold and Mini Cooper S returned to leasing company. Audi a6 avant being collected this evening. I have had hugely different quotes from the AA, Warranty Direct and UWV. Withought seeing the t and cs I do not know the main difference in cover.

hmmm, personally i'd keep hold of your money. keep it well serviced etc and you should be ok.

not my fault if it goes wrong though:P
