Castle Coombe, 10 April

This is a porsche club track day. As a new boy Im going as a spectator to see what these events are about. Not considering ever taking part as im too precious about my car...and me! Any comments, advice?

I was at Coombe last Friday (26th March) in my 944. Initially daunting, it really is a great circuit, and I would strongly advise even the most precious owner to get out there and enjoy.

You make your own pace, and only push as far as you feel comfortable. Coombe supply crash helments of all sizes for no aditional cost, so you dont even need to splash out to attend.

I was actually surprised at how rapid my 2.5 944 was, especially through the corners, even with a duff wheel bearing.
