How the hell do I remove the spikes from the rear parcel shelf on my E36 coupe? I've tried pulling, twisting, pushing, looked everywhere for bolts and even tried begging.

Easy - theres a plastic strip at the top of the backrest that runs the full width of the car, held in by plastic clips, remove this and you'll find the headrest posts are secured with circlips, its a five minute job once you know how
