Looks very clean. The rear lights look a bit "off" though.

Agree about the lights and chrome bits. Not too fond of the wheels either.

That will be lovely when you subtract the following:

Chav-tastical lights
Chrome (plate surrounds and bumper tat)
Wierd arch protector things
Ride height
Wheel offset (such that the wheels move outwards, i.e. go from et+40 to et0)

Its all a bit Ripspeed at the minute.

Still, the paint work does look very good.

My sisters got a 96 mk1 in the same color and I love driving it.

I agree with some of the comments above about this one though (would add the wing mirrors and oversized front badge to list of chav-tat). Still each to there own and all that. Welcome.

A half eaten curly wurly and an empty Fosters can says the nasty sills and arches are hiding a case of galloping tin worm. Not keen on the MASSIVE Mazda badge on the front either...

Shiny though, and red mk1 MX5s are the fastest, as everyone knows

After the hammering my car has taken I have decided to take the bull by the horns and taken off the chrome, lights etc. I would like to think people agree it is better now.

No you are wrong about the car having rot on the sills and arches they are perfectly sound.Considering it is an 18 year old UK spec not a grey import it is in very good condition. It passed the MOT in May with no advisories at all.

I like my car the way it is now and if people still feel the need to slag it off then that's up to you.

Much better after you took all the nasty tat off! The paint looks in very good conidition, have it been resprayed or just polished up?

The previous owner had it resprayed as the red paint had faded somewhat over the years. Although it is polished as well

Well to make you feel better, here's a bit of Miata trivia I thought was pretty cool;

"Mazda Motors famously used an Ishikawa diagram in the development of the Miata sports car, where the required result was "Jinba Ittai" or "Horse and Rider as One".
