So Mixxys been mine for just over half a year now. She's not missed a beat! So far I've all I've done is change the rear pads (solving binding calipers in the process), Battery, timing belt and 'fixed' a hole in the back box. I've set her to 18 Deg BTDC and give her only 97+ ron fuel and Bloody good all round service. She feels much quicker than before.

Here what she looked like when I first got her

And now...

Now just to get myself some coilovers, Wheels, Proper exhaust system and FM2.

By the way. You guys have been a great help along the learning curve. Cheers to all. Here's to many more sunny B roads in our 5's beer

Very good!

Though I think you could improve the paint work. I've worked out a good combination of products and techniques to restore the red to as good as new if you are interested....

Lovely! Doesn't seem to suffer from that 'different colour front panel syndrome' that some red 5s have.

Like the black rear panel, classy.

I'm also 6 months in, and still loving it.

However. I'm starting to get an itch. Supercharger is calling. Just got to find a suitable 2nd hand kit. frown

Actually my one does suffer from different shades of red frown The pics don't really show it.

I'll certainly be starting my search for boost next year along with cage and other bits to ready her for some abuse on track. I want to improve my skill as I don't feel as confident to push her as hard as my old car. It feels like a massive jump from the lowly 60hp of the punto I used to commit intensely to corners.

Over the last couple of days the clutch had show slight signs of slipping. It was only a matter of time before it wanted doing. I did look into getting a Exedy clutch and flywheel combo from Gripforce across the pond but I've heard a couple of bad things about them so trying to figure out some options. Any suggestions?

Cheers
