Calgary and St. Louis
Discussion
Hi,
I'll be travelling to the States and Canada on business next week and it looks like I'll have a weekend in Calgary and a weekend in St. Louis.
I've never been before so was wondering if anyone can recommend any "Must-Dos" whilst I'm in these locations?
For Calgary, I was thinking about hiring a car/4x4 and going to Banff National Park. Any tips or pointers?
TIA

I am an expat, lived in Calgary for 13 years, now live 2 hours south. If it's scenery you are after, go to Sunshine and take the gondola, which is a ski resort in the winter, nice hiking in the summer. Google it, there is a lot of info on their website. Why not rent a Corvette or Mustang? Go to the village of Banff, and to Lake Louise which, again is a ski resort in the winter. There is a strong possibility of seeing wildlife on the road between Sunshine and Lake Louise such as bears and elk, certainly lots of deer. If you rent a 4x4 truck, there are plenty of logging roads in the Kananaskis that are quite popular and scenic. Anything else you wnat to know, just email me. Barbara
