Was looking for eye plates and found one like a U-bolt that goes right through and fastens on the back.

But an insane price!

Can't seem to find another source - can anyone else please?

This probably won't help much, but anyway...

Metalwork like this is usually half the price in France. The Chandler in Cherbourg usually has a good supply of this type of stuff. Unfortunately, he doesn't have his chandelry stuff on the web. So this isn't any use unless you are going to be over there in the near future.

Sadly not planning to visit France!

However via Steelgear www.steelgear.co.uk/product.php?productid=865&... I've found www.proboat.co.uk/item.asp?cat_id=33&prod_id=5... which looks very smart - about £12 each - and will match the white superstructure.

I'm sure I can find you one if you want me to look. Might have one in stock or I can order it in. I'm at the Southampton boat show at the moment though so won't be able to look until Monday.

Thanks Dan, I really wanted the round U-bolt version (below) but if RSP is £55 I doubt you'll find one for a sensible price!

Trying to decide between the white U-bolt above, and a conventional square eye plate with a strip of mild steel behind it for reinforcement. (It will be fixed to the cabin wall just above the deck - I don't want it to pull a lump of wall out!)
