I converted my Mk1 just the beginning of this year, can honestly say that while I loved the clash of the orange against the Halcyon Blue paint, the clear fronts and sides are a definite improvement.

Cars back from its service today and I went to fit the side indicators, mine are different to the ones supplied by Clever Trevor mine are slightly fatter (wider) and shorter the new ones will go on but I will need to cut (gulp) some bodywork to make them fit?
Also no rubber seals with the new ones and the old ones will not fit.....

I think I have been sent the wrong ones although the ones sent are ford and look very similar.

Ah Ok because my orange ones are ford ones fitted I assume from the factory, now you have confused me more.

Also on a side note I finally fitted the front indicators jeez what a job that is, I now need to find the front indicator fuse as both front indicators aren't working but do if a give them a feed, I counted back to fuse number 12 from the front which my owners handbook says is the indicator fuse but no joy, any suggestions?

I haven't tried too hard to cure this as the indicators are still glueing....... so will be a job for tomorrow.

The front indicators were a pig to do to be honest, one fell out but the other was stuck pretty fast and in the end I had to take the headlight unit out to get the old indicator out.
Take the upper bonnet off (four bolts, two clips), I took the lower bonnet off as well but is not neccessary, two self tappers and remove both cover plates, the the front indicators are glued in place wobble and pull out, I needed to seperate the front indicator housing on the drivers side to fit the new ones, also please note both indicators didnt work when refitting I thought I had blown a fuse but actually the connectors had a bit of water damage on both sides so removing the clip and refitting both sides made the contacts poor.
Be prepared to scratch up your hands ;-)

What about the rear indicators. Why are they always orange? Does anywhere sell clear ones?
