Yes, ladies and ladie-males, time to break out your best evening gowns and heavy eye make up.

Sunday 24th October we're heading up to Crail 1/4 mile for a spot of most un-gentlemanly drag racing.

If i remember rightly it's around £20 to gain entry and put your car on the strip for the day. You'll get full print outs of all your runs, 1/4 mile, 60ft etc etc.

You can also turn up and simply spectate/have a static meet if you don't want to actually put your car on the strip. It's a "non-mag" day so should be fairly quiet and you will get plenty of runs. Just hope the weather holds out.

Runs from around 9am to 4pm and there is food available on site.

Stick your name down if you wish to join us. I know it's not the usual PH style meet/drive but it's a bit of fun.

Never been too impressed with Crail as a drag strip to say the least. But I wouldn't mind giving it a go. Only thing is that my car desparately needs a new clutch and I'ev got to get that sent over from the US - no way will it be fitted in time!

The Tarmac has been there since the war lol it's full of potholes and just after the 1/4 mile marker there is a big dip( obviously where the planes used to land and rake off ) and if your on a bike it's fking scary

Oh aye, it's basic. You're not gonna set any records due to the lack of grip.

Ach the strip is fine, you just have to avoid the pot holes on the road back round to the start.

Pretty sure I heard that he isn't allowed to retarmac as it has heritage status (or something similar). Like 60year old tarmac is anything memorable.

Probably just the local NIMBY way of eventually closing him down...
