there's been a lot of talk recently about sports exhausts and whether to have one or not. here are my two recent experiences to help the undecided make up their minds.

Negative: took the car out saturday morning. drive the wife to reading, back to henley, back home and then on to bagshot. lots of hooning roads to drive around. pull over at the bp / merc dealer in bracknell on the way to bagshot with a cracking headache brought on IMHO by the tones of said exhaust. pop a couple of neurofen with a bottle of orange. sit in the car for 10 minutes listening to classic fm in a vague attempt to rid the pain. partial success but pain returns as i accelerate through mid range revs and exhaust growls back to life as i leave the bp garage.

Positive: meet the next door neighbour (who's house is detached from mine)on monday morning who informs me that whenever i start the car on in the garage, his house shakes like 'he's in an earthquake'

Marvellous.

Best of both worlds....get it fitted AND the dash switch to switch the bugger off on the VERY rare occasions you wouldn't want to hear it

911nutter quick question, what sports exhaust do you have - I assume it's not the Porsche one as it doesn't have 'the switch'
