Wanted Ad - can i post here? Vogue 2005
Discussion
Not sure if I am allowed to post a wanted ad here or whether it needs to go in the classifieds? Seen as the wanteds are full of "we buy any car" type ads I'm concerend I would either be inundated with dealers offering me nothing like I want or it just being lost between the other trade ads.
Anyways, am looking for a Black or Silver Range Rover Vogue 2005 Model Year with average miles and a full history in great condition.
Hoping to beat the dealers offers so ideally looking around the £15k-£17k mark which appears to be book price for a private car.
I'm a genuine private buyer looking for something to get me to work through the winter.
Cheers

Update - I've only bloody bought one
Having trawlled through all the usual ads I made a shortlist and went to see some the other weekend.
I looked at Diesel and Petrol, the cheapest 05MY coming in just under 17k.
I hadn't realised that even the 05MY cars with Touch screen nav still had the older yellow indicators, so a word of advice to those still looking. 05 cars can still be pre-fracelift and with touch screen, if it wasn't confusing enough already. (or do I have an 06MY car i wonder???)
Once i'd struck out the pre-facelift models I was up in the price territory that Budrover had mentioned.
Anyhoo, I found a Vogue SE in Black with Cream leather (my ideal combo) along with 2 year warranty and 64k miles for a smidge over £20k which represented a 10% discount off the asking price.
Peace of mind even though I've blown my budget.
Am running out of space now, we'll have to move soon if I don't cure purchasing problem...

Update to above, it appears I've bought an 06MY car without realising it...BONUS.
I had wrongly assumed the 05MY cars had Touch screen nav AND clear lenses.
What a spanner.

There's a crossover of 54/05 reg cars that have the touch screen\venture cam and fibre optic media, but with the older front lights and no reverse cameras.
I bought a TD6 Vogue with 37k miles from a LR main dealer 2 yrs ago for £22.5 [height of recession for car dealers].... with 12 months LR warranty which I promptly needed for heated screen / new gearbox+transfer box --- had 30k trouble free mileage since and more likely sell for £20k now. Best 4x4xfar in my books

Yep, RR prices have increased. The bad times of the last 2 years have meant that a lot of people who usually trade in at 3 years didn't bother, hence no px cars for the SH market
. Those that were selling had to be reduced as no one had any money.A Pal of mine has got an 05. I'm after one similar to his, and it's still going to cost me more than his did 18 months ago.
