Wanted: ** WHITE S4/S4s in USA **

In three to four weeks I intend to officially kick off my Esprit search after waiting patiently for a year and a half.

Though I'm not quite ready to write a check, I wanted to see if anyone knows of a car for sale that meets my parameters, of if anyone owns one and may be interested in selling.

Here's what I want

WHITE (not Pearl) - no exceptions
S4 or S4s - not ready for V8 maintenance
Perfect Paint/Body
Mods OK
Lower Miles Preferred, but all Considered
Well documented records, service up to date, of course...

Wow, I have the same desire. White Esprit! LOL

Anyway, there was just about 2 White S4S's on Ebay not long ago with a nice tan interior too. If they are anything like the other Esprits on Ebay, one of them is bound to be posted again in the next month. I bet it will be.

A friend of mine has a white '94 S4 with black interior, straight exhaust, BOV and tinted windows that he plans on selling later this year so he can by a V8. I'm not sure what the mileage is, and other than the aforementioned upgrades, I believe it is stock. He's had it for going on 2 years now, and always has the service done at the dealer in Phoenix. I bought a '94 S4 in White with < 33K miles. Its in tip top shape. I prefer the S4 look to the S4S and really they're VERY similar cars. It should be here in 2-3 weeks.

RE: S4s. Its owned by Eirk in Hermosa Beach who, rightfully, is VERY cautious about people driving his car, so I didn't get to open it up. But its in very nice shape, especially the inside -- its perfect. He offered me an amazing deal but, like I said, I prefer the S4... Maybe I shoulda bought both and flipped the S4s, cos its worth a bunch.

Steve emailed me with the news this morning, said you'd bought it. Now he has the hots for a V8!

I'm happy to hear that the deal worked out for you two. I know Steve was nervous about putting an ad out in the local paper for it, and everyone wanting to take it out for a drive. I feel the same way, as did the PO of my car, but I have no intention of selling mine anytime soon...WAY too much fun!

The S4s has a 300bhp engine due to:

enlarged inlet valves
modified cylinder head
re-calibrated ECM with higher boost (1.0 bar)
increased capacity oil sump
Garret T3/60 turbo with enlarged compressor wheel

and also has the Brembo brakes.

True you can chip an S4 to get the 1.0 bar of boost, but without the other goodies, the cars are not very similar. The S4s is essentially a Sport 300 engine-wise, without the LSD and some of the suspension goodies.

That said, have a blast with the S4. You're going to love it!
