Would you buy tyres from ebay?

Just wondering as I have a brand spanking new set of tyres (four Michelin energy Saver X 205/55 R16 91V) which have never been used and are worth £77 each on sites such as mytyres.

I started them off at £165 for all 4 and had a bid of that figure the first day but none since but just wondered whether it'll be a waste of time?

I'm hoping to get £185 for them if I can so not too far off that but I wonder whether people do not trust buying tyres off ebay - would you?

I think I would avoid part worns personally but new tyres should be OK?

It'll be fine, did you advertise them as NEW / unused and have pictures with the labels / wear lines still on?

Do you have a load of watchers? Most bidding is done in the last day.

Labels are off but the stickers for mounting them are still on. I included a library photo only.

I did list as new, yes

I agree. I'd want to see photos of the actual tyres. Preferably showing the lines still on the tread.

I bought Bridgestones off Ebay a few years back, no problems at all. Guy had bought them for a car he wrote off before getting them fitted. I got them for less than half price compared to local dealers.

Similar situation here, bought for a second set of wheels but have a change of plans!

As long as I get my starting bid (which has already been bid) then I'm happy

You never know though if people are actually going to pay.

I have sold a large body part for a car, excellent condition twice now on ebay and the winning bidder has not paid for it. Got less than £200 for the final bid and the item new is nearly £5k form a main dealer so I don't think they change their mind based on the price. Damned annoying as it wastes my time and money!
