I've booked the morning session. Anyone else going? Looks like it might be wet.

I'm there tomorrow - will look out for you (my car's red too). Fingers crossed any showers will pass quickly and should be breezy and mild so hopefully track won't be wet for long. See you there.

See you there, Dave. Actually, if the BBC forecast is to be believed, it should be dry & partly sunny smile
Which of your two cars?

Good to chat with you, Dave, and thanks for the passenger ride. I'm jealous of the handling but I'll happily keep mine for the cruising.
It warmed up nicely later, especially when I was caught in several miles of stop-go M25 traffic on the way home. So much for avoiding the evening rush hour.
I have a few photos I could post up, but nothing special.

Here you go:

you turned away just as I pressed the shutter

and an attempt at panning at about 80mph from close range

Thanks Rob - good to meet you... looks like James took his picture at the exact same time as you!

The grin's still a mile wide but I need new front discs now... Chatted to the lads with the green-wheeled BMW but saw it parked up on the M25 hard shoulder as I headed away - hope you got it home safe guys.

Had a great day and thought it all went pretty well given quite a wide range of cars and drivers... not convinced the guys in the mental-fast Focus RS were genuine "novices" though. smile

Didn't see this thread either! I was there all day, think I spoke to you Rob, I was in the Silver classic Impreza.

Agree on the Focus RS's, I think they were all tuned, the blue one was Mountune'd, white one SCC tuned. Serious bits of kit so unlikely first timers!

That was my first track day though and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Tuition was worthwhile as well. Did one session of that.

I was surprised that the Caterhams struggling. They really struggled in the wet morning conditions, two came off near me, then they did not seem to really be much quicker than standard road cars in the afternoon like I thought they would in the dry?

So there were five of us there! Was I the only one with smilies on my car? We need to be better organised next time.
And there will be a next time, won't there? Brands is such an excellent track, it's addictive. driving

The guy in the Puma pulled up next to me and I said "Please tell me it's not standard", after the way he passed me. Apparently it was a limited edition Race version. That was a relief whistle

Ups! whats happend to me pics... mad (reuploaded)

Indeed was a fantastic day! I was only there for the afternoon session, but that was more than enough, absolutely knackered driving home.

Had totally forgotten to check on here see who going. And unless one of you was driving the Holden, he had the smile center caps on his wheels, but could never find the driver! So there might have been 6! Agree better organisation needed!

Did anyone get a talk with the guy driving the sirocco? Couldn't believe the way that thing was going!!!

Hi All, That's me in the Caterham in the first pic being overtaken by the Noble. It was a bit damp in the morning and with no abs or traction control the rear was a bit lively.. track got faster throughout the day though.. great day and some great coaching by Brad Ellis at Caterham. I can highly recommend the Caterham Experience circuit days.

A Pulsar, spectacularly blowing its radiator... was looking bloody quick until that point!

lol - if only it were just the rad....
(Is my brothers car, but unfortunatley I couldn't make it to Brands on the day..)
Looks like its dropped a valve, - nice hole in the top of the piston, only half the spark plug left so looks like the engine, and turbo are scrap frown

Said he was having lots of fun until that point!

I've found out why I was getting a lot more tyre squeal than on previous track days.
The active aero switch was 'off' banghead

Was it a ClubMSV event and was it not supposed to be a ‘novice’ day? (I may have got the dates wrong)
