Older cars are just better

Due to a change in financial circumstances (marriage) and the onset of some common sense (marriage again!) I have had to say goodbye to my 57 plate leon FR and hello to my 3.0 166.

I have more bhp but less torque however I have torque steer again

I also have to drive the thing properly as I have no traction control, EBD etc

I am never 100% confident I will get to my destination wihtout having a breakdown type incident.

Driving is no longer dull!

Modern engineering is great but give me something to think about rather than reliability, nannying safety features any day.

No real point to this thread other than a need to share, rhank you for listening

Sorry I don't understand. Marriage must surley mean your better off? Instead of one income you now have two, your twice as rich. Marriage should mean better cars surley?

Nope. She has her house (Decorated to her taste) I have mine, Two houses, two incomes, im sure two different tastes in decorating but I cant see how I would be poorer if I married her.
