I love the bit at 1 min 56 secs when your map slides off (see reflection in rear window)
I own a griff because.........
Looks.... I think they are one of the most beautiful 'dateless' looking cars, like the S1 E-type.
Noise.... Mines a pre-cat.
Rarety....Only a couple of thou' made
Speed....18 years old and still 'eats' most things on the road
Convertible.... Why go out on dry sunny days in a hard top???
TVR.........I believe it saved TVR and really put them in the big boys league..(watch the abuse flood in from the wedge boys)
'I dont like Richard hammond'.....only because He hates TVR's.

Sorry about Choon, such a cliche, but it has to be done occasionally. Alex, the missus was concentrating on not screaming a lot of the time as rather inconsiderately, 6 days before we left for this years 3k mile tour she decided to launch herself down our stairs, suffering for her endeavours a fractured tail bone . . so when the doctor said 3 wks rest, she responded with 11 days in a TVR through the Alps and Italy (whose roads are shockingly potholed) he said 'NO', she said, you're joking, he said, 'Codeine' . . . fair play, it wasn't easy on her, so the idea of getting fly bys wasn't going to stand
The 'map' sliding about was in fact the cool bag, it's the only thing that lives on the rear shelf and the velcro I'd meant to apply before we left would have stopped the rolling about, it appears in most of the rear facing runs at some point. . . . as does the inside of the lens cap on some, d'oh !
As for set up . . I've had a 520tvl Dogcam bullet camera for a few years with a DVR handicam. Wanted to go solid state to save space and have front and rear cameras mounted to the car, not on suction mounts as historically, which give great results, but are rather obvious and you're always worried about security of them. Off Ebay I managed to pick up a Mini HDVR and Sony HQ2 with LANC remote and helmet mount and added a switchable camera feed and then plumbed all wiring into the car like a proper install, so down inner wing for front camera and over rear arch for mic, under carpets and into void behind seat for rear facing camera . .. Whole set up controlled from in front of left knee, with HDVR in glovebox and wiring fed through dash with all other wiring. Power is supplied straight of the battery with multi plug so easy to disconnect, again all plumbed in behind footboard and into back of glovebox.. The intention was to have an install that was totally maintenance free and all we had to do was take off the lens caps. Otherwise it starts to interfere with your tour and that's not why we were there if you see what I mean. Sat Nav and Phone chargers (essential touring kit) run from the aux cigarette lighter I put in the passenger footboard last year with a multiplug/socket velcroed to carpet so missus controls all the power
Rear facing set up uitlises a roll bar mount onto the rear strut (protected by rubber etc)
Front set up, utilising a helmet mount, velcro, but for additional security and to reduce vibration A single screw into the nose (it's really thick here so a good hold but I did hurt drilling a hole, not that you'd know it was there.
Switch for camera feed on left, LANC remote for HDVR on right, on/off, record etc . .
Next project, for the stills camera this time
First fabrications and prototype . . . Once proved, further finishing touches to be incorporated
