That will explain why I waited until half five in the rain at Southport then to be told the display finished after a sodding glider. I wondered why so many people left after the reds.
Snap, I really wanted to see the Typhoon - if we'd known it wasn't going to show we'd have left after the Hurri.Crossflow Kid said:

Low tech can be a good thing. Ask the Russians!
£69M and the seat belt doesn't work. Dear god.
Not so much a failure of the £69B aircraft as an OEM cock up by messrs MB I should think£69M and the seat belt doesn't work. Dear god.

I was "privileged" to go and "recover" the the remains of the first one to have a successful double ejection, followed by recovery of the the infamous A-10 bunter (we never did find the fin but it's amazing how far the actions of the mauser cannons went
).I doubt there will be anything actually "wrong" with the system in isolation, but operational experience will dictate modification to enhance survivability.
I wouldn't be to quick to finger the Spanish Air Force. Remember the poor Nav whose seat top latch wasn't engaged and the seat fell out during a flight test?
