Hi,

I'm currently rebuilding my GT40 replica as I have finally got feed up replacing Renault 21 turbo gearbox's and I have desided to go down the porsche route and bought a G50-01, I'm mating this up to my SBC 350 1979 block I have all the parts to do this but I don't have a spigot bearing to fit can anyone recommend a bearing to fit an where I can buy one?

Best Regards,

Chris.

Its normally a cased needle roller press-fit into a round ally housing....the whole thing is a press fit into the rear of the crank.
The factory sell them, not too expensive or you can just buy the needle and make one. Either method I would recommend a quick mod. Drill/tap the housing to accept two m5-m6 screws with the hole centres at 180 degrees, this way you can remove the housing and replace the bearing if required. Its much easier to do this mod before installing into the crank.

Its not just a Porker bearing its also a Ally bush to bring the bearing out further away from the crank.
