faint oil? patches
Discussion
Noticed some small faint patches of what i think is oil on the ground where i park the Cerbera. Not sure how long they have been there, but one seems quite fresh. Also cannot be sure but appears to be coming from the front centre almost parrallel with the front wheels. Had a quick check underneath, the engine and oil level - all seems OK and no obvious leaks, and the car is running like a dream.
Is this normal (perhaps overfilling the oil) or something more sinister?

Could come from anywhere it'll work it's way down and drip from the lowest point it can get to.
The best thing is to have a look around the engine bay and try to find the source.
I had a small leak once that did end up between the wheels, turned out to be overfill from the power steering fluid.

Mine likewise has the odd drip. I am led to believe that, due to the fact that the engine runs on what can only be descibed as slightly thickened tap water, it will tend to lose a little bit irrespective. Consumption of 1/2 to 1 litre per 1000 miles is not uncommon, and it don't all go out the rear end. Partly depends what oil viscosity you are running as to how much it leaks. Also, your oil pressure. If you have the later oil pressure relief sping with pressure in the 60 to 80lbs range this will also push oil past the seals.
