original master key 1995 S4S

what is the master key like?
does it have a fancy head? is there a light in it?
can anyone send me a pic of what the car came with.

Not fancy look, but with a light in it. Push switch is at the center. Sorry don't have picture.

If you can do without the Lotus logo, you cab use a Saab 9000 key blank, they come with or without the light.

UK ones use a Vauxhall Cavalier (Opel Ascona) key blank with light IIRC (imagine US ones are the same)

I only got one key with my 94 S4 and wanted additional keys. I was in Europe at the time and found that one of the Opel keys was the correct blank, so I shipped 4 home and had them cut when I returned. The key shop had no problem cutting the key, but they just didn't have access to the blanks.
As for the original key, it does have a small light in it, but is just an old "penlight" type bulb. I removed the bulb and replaced it with a high output led and replaced the battery with a newer battery with the correct voltage for the led. The battery was about half the thickness as the original, but works perfectly. Much better than the old penlight bulb.
