Tamora not starting Help !

2002 Tamora not starting used last night no issues, today car is trying to start when I turn key however It just will not fire up and smells like its flooded.

Its displaying a fault code 12

I've just had a look through the Sag bible (thanks, Mr V), but I don't seem to find a mention of a code 12.... Sorry.

fault code 12 is air temp under min value I think (so nothing to do with your problem I suggest). I can't check the list as I am out in the States at the moment. If it cranks and won't start + it smells flooded, I would go along with the fact its flooded!

Remove the fuel pump relay or disconnect the pump at the plug in the boot. Crank it over to clear the fuel then re-connect and try again.

I have called out AA yesterday but they could not start it, they will drop it of at garage for me I will have a look at what is the nearest garage to me as I am new to TVR and dont know of any in Rochdale area.

might start in the morning, yeah pull that relay out. Then crank it over a few times, then add the relay back in while doing so. If the girl dont start then its wet plugs.new plugs and a tune, and it should be good

Now sorted cable not pluged in ECU correctly.

It will be the ambient air temp saying the temp is below -12degC so inhibits start.

So ecu says no.

Are you saying when you turn the ignition key that there is nothing appearing on the displays whatsoever? As in completely no power? If so I'd be checking the main earths and fuses first.

There is power and the rev counter moves and the display lights up but no information on it and the car will turn over but will not start.

Sounds like it could be an immibiliser issue to me. The ecu is one of the immob. cuts, along with fuel pump and starter. Quite possible that the ecu isn't getting any power.

Exactly what mine did a few weeks back, was the 100A fuse in the battery compartment corroded.
