Miffed...

Been on the lookout for some spiders for my 4.5 for ages, but with no joy. Saw some new (standard) 17" cerbera 4.5 alloys advertised on the classifieds, in a very fetching gold colour. After much bu99ering about today, eventually met up with the chap today (having driven for an hour around M25)

I was assuranced that they were 'as new' with 'only a few miles on the rubber', and so I thought I was onto a winner.

Imagine my disappointment when I saw them - yes, they looked great, but the rubber had seen around 6000 miles, one tyre had a screw in it, they all wobbled on a gentle roll in the car park, and one wheel had around a 10mm wide and 1-2mm deep groove rubbed into the inner of the wheel !!

Pristine my harris !!!

Oh yes, and can anyone guess how long it takes to push 70 £10 notes back into a cash machine

Seven hundred quid sounds expensive. I've just sold some decent 16" spiders with tyres for £250 and boughts some 18" (sorry) for £500. You should be able to get some reconditioned 18's with tyres for £800 from Central TVR.

Hmmm, you'd have thought, wouldn't you!!

Adrian at Central is my main man, and he can't get his hands on any at the mo...

The problem is I am severely short finals for new tyres on my 4.5, and keep holding out for some 18"s
