Hell no, even the missus knows it's not going on til Oct 1st at the very earliest and I'm a southern fairy, ooooop north it goes on once a year for Christmas Day
It's always on - thermostatically controlled, so it brings it up to 20 at "getting up time" for a couple of hours. Clearly the bedroom was below 20 at 8am this morning so it fired up.
Nope. Had new windows and cavity insulation this year, to go with the 14+ inches of loft insulation I laid down a few years back. We have a towel rail in each of the bathrooms which are linked to the hot water system, and they alone seem to be enough to keep the house warm.
mine clicked on at 10c this morning the missis said, about 5 c outside at sun up. I was outside working a little after five..... 12 hour day on a Sat... thats poo....
Yes but only because I dropped the minimum temperature a couple of degrees to make sure it was still working. It was so back to normal and hopefully a couple of weeks before it fires up again.
I seem to feel the cold quite a lot and I usually want the heating on before Mrs.NCoT. Fitted a decent digital thermostat/timeswitch last year so I basically don't touch it now and let the thermostat do its thing.
Mine was on for a couple of hours yesterday, but only because I hired one of those Rug Doctor things and cleaned the carpets. At least I know that it still works!
It felt cold in the house this morning. Normally we leave the thermostat at 17 and let the CH do its stuff. Today I turned it up to 20 and it kicked in...
