E Bay Again... Sorry !!!

OK Chaps some advice please
Sold something on E Bay 04/09/10. I left a message for him call me on my mobile to arrange collection.
Had contact from the buyer ( via E Mail ) to say he would try and collect last weekend ( 12/09/10 ). Paying Cash.
Then another message the next day saying the weekend wasnt possible for collection.
Since then Ive sent him 4 messages via E Bay and no answer. Its now Sunday the 19th.
What next chaps ?

When it first started up you could get some real bargains on there and most sellers were people just trying to shift second hand stuff, now every other person is an off-the-books home trader on the make, and the feedback system is useless now.
If you're just going to buy stuff off a home trader/del boy, there are several much better portals out there.
I use it maybe twice a year now.

Thats rubbish! The best attitude to go with is with a good dose of caution. its still a good place for bargins if you bother to look hard enough and like any market its got brilliant sellers and unfortunately scum bags. its more difficult being a decent seller on Ebay - the odds are massively tipped in favour of buyers and its far to easy to be scammed by some thieving no payer "whose item never arrived". t.When it first started up you could get some real bargains on there and most sellers were people just trying to shift second hand stuff, now every other person is an off-the-books home trader on the make, and the feedback system is useless now.

I used to use ebay to the extent I was selling up to 3 items a week (on average 1 item a week) and would buy atleast once a month. But now that sellers cant leave negative feedback I wouldn't even bother trying to sell, as alot of buyers take the piss. Many have the attitude of "i'll bid, maybe win the item, and if i don't want it I'll ignore all contact and not pay for it, as the seller can't do st about it".
it's a shame really, because I used to love buying and selling car parts and rare EPs/singles, as well as the thrill of the last few minutes bidding on something you truely want.
