My car was begining to look a bit shabby. Loads of stone chips on the front bumper and some peeling laquer. My Mate Mark (The guy with the Yellow Gallardo) got to work in removing them. The bumper was rubbed down and completely repainted. Here are some photo's that may be of some interest.

My windscreen wipers were also looking very corroded. (Apparently very common on Gallardos)

The end result

Mark has done a superb job, I cannot recommend him enough!

Looking lovely mate. Although I never would have said your Gallardo was 'shabby'!

Cheers ecain!

Yes john he has a spray booth with oven the works. Most of all he is a complete perfectionist i.e. He was worried the job he did wasnt going to match, so went out and bought more paint to redo it! I would not take my car anywhere else now. Problem you might find though is that mark is a very busy guy.

Anyone know a good aluminium TIG welder in our area.
Have some bits that need modifying.

We have a TIG welder but don't know how to use it yet.

Looking good Pete, get some Paintshield protection film on it quick to avoid it happening again!

Due back in Whiteley about Oct 10th, will have to catch up and have a few quiet beers! (and end up in a taxi back from Chicagos covered in Kebab at 3am again!)

I have used Tony Brand of Light Engineering.02380 466657
Solo bloke, small workshop but has the highest attention to detail.
I have used him over the past 10 years for everything from chassis mods on Ali framed litre sports bikes,Caterham exhaust/chargecooler construction and modification right up to 20mm thick plate for winch mounts on my Unimog. He is a perfectionist, and will tell you if he cannot do it ( and that will usually mean it cannot be done) He also does some high quality work for the outfitters of the 75 metre "yachts" ala Abramovich. He is at Hedge End.

I am not gonna bother with Paintshield, just get the car re-painted once in a while.

Not long now, will have to have a couple of beer sessions!
