Window Seal

Anyone know where I can buy the seals attached to the roof which the windows seal to when lifted. Car is a 2000 LW model. Seem to be able to find door seals OK but can't see the top seal listed anywhere.

If i've understood what you've written correctly, you'll be pleased to know it's one complete seal all the way round.

I may be wrong but I thought the later ones used a different seal at the top. I'd better have a closer look.

no not the door seal, the one with the top part of the window squeezes in against. i replace all the door seals, still got a leak but stopped one so all progress

I was going to replace the same upper roof seal but resealed it in place.

Will that door seal work for the Mk1s as well? I thought there was some issue with the door window having to drop further or something? I'd like to change mine to get rid of some wind noise if possible.

I believe it will, if the seals are good the main contributing factor to the wind noise is the wing mirrors themselves. For this, I believe TVR stumbled into a solution, or atleast a helping development for it. If I have time over the next month or so I'll look into it further and mock it all up/test it.

Just had a look. The bit the top of the window seals on is deffo not the same stuff that the door seal is made of. Ideas anyone?

Just checked mine too (2003 Model)out of interest. The top rubber the window seals on is definately seperate from the door seal rubber. It's a differant profile and runs from the top corner of the door to the top of the trim piece above the door mirror.
