Definatley a set up.

I think they put the car in to show the size of the gap and how did the car know that the van was going to keep going? He got out of there pretty sharpish!

Its easier to get out a tight space than into one. I parked in probably the smallest space managable last week, only to find when I got back the car behind me had gone and was replaced by a focus less than one inch from my back bumper. I maybe had a foot at the front. Lots and lots of wriggling later I got out.
