well i know this has been covered before,but today whilst pulling into a maccy d's i happened upon this gem.

Now im a great fan of the car itself,and its a remarkable piece of engineering,but to my mind this does absolutly nothing for it ..... and having seen at least three very expensive local cars with this exact same finish of late im thinking more cash than taste ?

Spotted in its home environment!

Saw a Bentley Conti GT on the M25 the other week, looking equally as bad with a chrome wrap.

Call me a chav, but if you want to be individual, I think a camo, tiger stripe or zebra stripe would look a lot better than fake chrome!

Do they do a fleshy-pink wrap with bluey-purpley coloured veins running longitunidally? Possibly with a purple bonnet/front wing?

Im a blue badge holder, and ex GTR owner as well.

The st I had when parking in disabled bays when in the car, you couldnt make it up.

There's a chrome wrapped Aston Martin Vantage knocking round Uxbridge - it's certainly an eye catcher!

Have to say, while I get the logic behind them, I cringe slightly every time I see an otherwise gorgeous car covered in bako-foil or what appears to be matt black poster paint.

It was fine when it was a utiliterian means of protecting the paint as an investment, but now it's caught on it's very sophisto-chav IMHO.

I can imagine, however on the flip side at least people are happy to give the people who abuse the bays just because they have a nice car st. I don't like my nice car getting dented, so I avoid supermarket car parks at peak times and park as far a way as possible.

Somehow it never stops some beat up corsa parking 3 inches from your door... but that's for another thread.
