I've just read yet another article where JC is reviewing a 911 and instead spends the vast majority of the review bhing about BC.

Ok I get it. JC and AW are pissed because they created the character and have successfully transformed it into a money making franchise. They think that BC was just a monkey in a suit who should have been greatful for what they've done for him and they feel betrayed. BC is hurt because he was the unseen, unloved 'face' of the Stig and felt that he'd brought something to the character that was worth a bit more than he got, so felt exploited. JM is pissed for no good reason that I can see.

It was initially interesting. But now it's starting to get on my tits. Move on damnit!

2 interesting points from the article you are refering to

stig IS going to get some ribbing, so it wont end yet
TG is made for kids from 8 to 85... it's not meant to keep car-nerds happy, it's meant to be a laugh n entertain

Although it was supposed to be a car review also and it's ceased to be entertaining.

if they wanted a pure car review they'd have quentin, they want jezza

and 'it ceased to entertain' is differnt to 'i stopped finding it entertaining'

SWMBO, me, and our kids are some of those as well - rarely does it fail to entertain. Sure, there will always be the odd episode that isn't quite so good, but thats the same with damn near every show on the box.

How is there not a tread on PH where Jeremys column is copy and pasted?
It's the only reason I ever visited the times website and now that damn paywall is up I can't read it.

It was mildly amusing but not worth £1 a time.

Who wants to paste it?

I'm talking about the 911 article in the the press not the show... It's the childish constant BC baiting that isn't entertaining.

If we've learnt one thing from the last few series of TG. It's that once they get an idea. they will milk it to the point that it's gone from funny to "meh" to "Oh FFS give it up"

I suspect JC and AW won't be too welcome at the next Help for Heroes do. What with Collins being ex forces...

You know what would be utterly hilarious?

If it was all a great big work for a bit of extra publicity for show and Collins/Stig alike and Ben was set to retain his position as an unmasked Stig.
