i am in a similar position and cannot believe the number of people who want £500 for MOT failures or cars stood in fields for months, scrap metal has NOT gone up that much has it!?

yes starleteer is right ive had a qick look on ebay and such like and gumtree was the only one with this car at £150 with mot till dec but no tax

My wife has a Volvo 440 that has just passed its MOT and has some tax (not sure how much though) it's on an 'M' has done about 135,000 miles has a slight oil leak and a few other bits don't work, but apart from that it's fine, if you don't mind a bit of rust and a dent! I'm sure she would consider letting it go for a couple of hundred quid
